Jesus was more than just a wise teacher, and He didn’t come to start a new religion. He came to love, to serve, and to rescue humanity from its own ways. In response to this, He asks us to move beyond fans and become His followers. When we do this, we experience the life and hope that He offers.
Everything from Jesus’ lips boils down to this one word: Love. We will love God first, and love others as well. Our love won’t be reserved for certain kinds of people, but will be given equally to all. We want to love people just like Jesus did.
We are imperfect people, and the world we live in isn’t perfect either, but we believe that Jesus makes everything different. We believe that He can help us to be more loving, more peaceful, more joyful, less selfish, and that He can set us free from things like addiction and pettiness. We also believe that God wants to use us to make the world a better place, and that means that we need to do something about poverty, injustice, and slavery. We want the world around us to be filled with hope, life, and beauty.
You weren't meant to go through life alone. When we connect with other people, we give and receive love as we share hopes, joys and struggles. Best of all, when we gather, Jesus is with us, full of all of the blessings that He has to offer.
Reaching out isn't something that is reserved for a chosen few. Each of us is sent to make a difference in the lives of people and to show that God is present with us wherever we go. Some are sent overseas, and some are sent across the street, but all of us have received the command to go.
Jesus said "unless you become like little children, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven." We believe that children play a crucial role in ministry, and that they are often undervalued. We want to be a church in which every member values children as much as Jesus did.
